QA-VI Description

The QA-VI from Qeed is a single-channel mA and voltage analog input to Modbus RTU. The QA-VI also is a Modbus RTU to analog output and relay with a built-in USB datalogger. The input can be any range from 0-20 mA or 0-10 Vdc. The Output can also be Current or Voltage. The current Input and Output can be active or passive.
The Input, Output, Relay Modbus RS485 port, Power Supply, and USB port are galvanically isolated from each other at 1.5 kV. All the terminals are removable, which allows for hot switching.
The datalogger can log amongst other parameters, the input, output, and the real-time clock as fast as every second. The analog output can be a retransmission of the input, or the Modbus network can set the output.

What are the QA-VI Applications?

Current to Modbus RTU

The QA-VI can convert 4-20 mA and 0-20 mA to Modbus RTU RS485. The input impedance is 20 Ohms with a resolution of 0.02mA. The mA input circuit is isolated from the power supply and Modbus RTU output.

Voltage to Modbus RTU

The QA-VI can convert 0-10 Volts to Modbus RTU RS485. The resolution is 1 mV. The Voltage input circuit is isolated from the power supply and Modbus RTU output.

Modbus RTU to 4 to 20 mA

The QA-VI has a 4 - 20 mA output that can be driven by a change to a modbus register.

Modbus RTU to 0 - 10 Volts

The QA-VI has a 0 - 10 Volt output and can be driven by the Modbus RTU input.

4-20mA Datalogging

The QA-VI is able to log the 4-20 mA or 0-20 mA signal input from any sensor to a micro USB drive.

Potentiometer Datalogger

The QA-VI is able to measure and log voltage reading from 0-10 V with a resolution of 1 mV to a micro thumb drive.

4-20 mA Limit Alarm.

The QA-VI is also equipped with a limit alarm or trip amplifier. The relay's output is programmable to react to the 4-20 mA input.

0-10 V Trip Amplifier.

The QA-VI can provide a relay output. The Relay output has a switching point that can be set by the Modbus RTU network.

What is the QA-VI?

The QA-VI can accept a 4-20 mA input and convert it to a Modbus RTU and also output a 4-20 mA from a Modbus RTU signal.

Can the QA-VI read or output a Voltage?

Yes the QA-VI can accept and output 0-10 Volt signal from a Modbus RTU signal.

Can the QA-VI output Modbus TCP?

The QA-VI is a DIN Rail mount single channel analog input output Modbus RTU device. It can connect with a QE-BR-ETH485 using the T-Bus connection and convert from Modbus RTU to Modbus TCP.
